Supreme Court dismisses First Nations’ challenge against Trans Mountain pipeline

After another set of hurdles, the Supreme Court of Canada dismissed the challenge against the TMX pipeline approval by 3 First Nation communities in British Columbia. This comes a few months after the Supreme Court of Canada struck down a similar challenge by environmental groups.

-120 out of 129 Indigenous communities support or do not oppose the pipeline

-58 communities have signed mutual benefit agreements
